After part 3 of Cocoon's 10" series, which was focussing on the British Techno scene, we now return to Germany with the fourth EP. The Frankfurt-born Markus Fix grew up at the decks of Helium bar, is now at home behind the decks of cocoonclub Frankfurt and has been providing us with his innovative reinterpretation of House on labels such as Cecille and Oslo for the last three years. His Cocoon debut is entitled "The Dark Side Of Bo" and starts with a puristic, extremely fat bass line pulsing through the room like an externalised heartbeat that makes it impossible for your body to remain still. The B side belongs to the 32-year-old Leipzig resident Sven Tasnadi. Having been affected by Chicago Acid, Tasnadi belongs to the inner circle of the Moon Harbour family and made a name for himself with hand selected tracks on Liebe*Detail or Smallville. His flipside "Nordsee" enchants with hypnotic Dub Techno with a tribal touch and obscure train-station-like background sounds, a journey right through the heart of the night!
